Fed up with the "Christian right"...

Do we really need any more proof that the Christian Right is full of hypocrites than Pat Robertson's recent statement regarding the Venezuelan President that "If he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think we really ought to go ahead and do it"?

I mean, does he seriously believe that Jesus Christ would have advocated assassinating a political leader that we didn't like? (Judging from the bible, we know that this is most certainly not the case) Or has Mr. Robertson simply given up any pretense of acting like a Christian?
